COUPLES THERAPY
Therapy focused on helping couples work through challenges, understand their relationships better, and develop healthier ways of interacting with one another.
A type of psychotherapy that supports two people involved in a romantic or intimate relationship. Couples seek therapy to save a struggling relationship, improve a good one, or learn to peaceably end a bad relationship. The therapist can utilize a variety of therapeutic interventions to help couples gain insight into the dynamics of their relationship, resolve conflict, improve relationship satisfaction, or find amicable ways to bring their relationship to an end. Although the relationship itself is the focal point of therapy, each individual is expected to be attentive to self-awareness and self-improvement. Couples therapy is also known as couples counseling, marriage counseling, and relationship counseling.
